4-day Long-Form Intensive directed by Tim Orr with Other BATS Coaches (#1308)

Orientation: 5:30pm-6:30pm Wednesday, August 18
Class Time/Dates: 9am-6pm on Thursday-Sunday, August 19–22

Schedule: 1 hour orientation. 4 one day sessions.
Class size: 12 students (with enough additional interest, we will expand into two groups of at least 10 each)***
Class length: 9 hours (36 hours total)

Pre-Requisites:  Improv training and performance experience

Welcome to Long-Form Summer Intensive 2010—The best, most in-depth and quality Long-Form education that 4 days can offer. BATS Long-Form training focuses on the core elements that make San Francisco-style Long-Form successful—ensemble, narrative, acting, and genre/characters. Explore BATS Improv's unique style of sustained, improvised narratives while working with master coaches on professional vocal and physical stage techniques.

This intensive is for improvisers who have no or limited Long-Form experience, but do have other performing experience and want to step their play up to the next level. Lunchtime Learning Cafe topics will include "Developing Long-Form Formats " and "Researching Genres." Includes 32 hours of instruction. (Limit 14 students)  The Long-Form Intensive curriculum will be designed by Tim Orr.  Other specific coaches teaching in this workshop are TBD and will be posted when finalized.

BATS Improv Class Refund Policy

Cancellation of Summer Intensives and Youth and Teen Camps more than two weeks before the start of the class results in a refund or credit minus a deposit equal to 20% of the tuition. Tuition is non-refundable beginning two weeks before the start of the class.
